We announce the death of James Oltman of Hampton, Illinois, who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 86. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Oltman and Henrietta Oltman. He is survived by: his wife Janet See; his children, Roy Oltman, Kelly Stytz (Greg) and Michele Tague (Jody); and his grandchildren, Jonathan Stytz (Debi), Jacob Stytz (Jayde), Lauren Velasquez (Jacob) and Madelene Tague. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Schroder Mortuary - Silvis (701 1st Ave, Silvis, IL 61282). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Greenview Memorial Gardens (1201 Avenue of the Cities, East Moline, IL 61244).
