With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorretta JoAnn McCoy of Hampton, Illinois, who passed away on October 12, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lorretta JoAnn McCoy to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Errett Boyer and Esther Boyer (Reeve); her husband John J. McCoy; and her siblings, Darrell Boyer, Gene Boyer, Linda Flanders and LaVeta Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Chuck McCoy (Judy), Chet McCoy, Cherrie Seger (Craig) of Oswego, IL and Chad McCoy (Peggy) of Niles, IL; her grandchildren, Blaine McCoy (Keri), Jeremiah McCoy (Rachel), Tara Temple (Mark), Renae Seger, Hannah McCoy and Caleb McCoy; her great grandchildren, Hudson, Owen Temple, Rebecca and Joshua McCoy; and her siblings, David Boyer, Wayne Boyer, Marilyn Barnes, Arlette Quick and Eunice Osing.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gibson-Bode Funeral Home (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Pleasant Point Cemetery (25222 94th Ave N, Port Byron, IL 61275).
Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or Hampton Grace United Methodist Church.
