Howard Long Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Howard Long of Hardin, Illinois. Howard, born on April 10, 1948, passed away on September 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Spencer V. Long and Minnie Long (Blackorby); his son Daniel Joseph Long; and his siblings, Paul Long, Edward Long, Spencer O. Long, Bernita Dunham and Betty Fugate.
He is survived by: his son Mike Long (Vicky); his grandsons, Dan Long (Trish), Ryan Long (Heather) and Luke Long; his great grandchildren, Stephen, Phillip, James, Tatum and William Long; his siblings, Herbert Long, Joyce Bland (Jerry) and Lois Charlton; and his close friend Susan Parker.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home - Hardin (207 S County Rd, Hardin, IL 62047). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Indian Creek Cemetery.
