It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph B. Sievers Jr. of Hardin, Illinois, who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sievers and Clara Sievers (Norris); his son Randy Sievers; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Bernice Klocke; his sister Rosemary Wieneke; and his in-laws, Richard Kraushaar, Kenny Bick, Ida Snyders (Ed), Pat Glaser (Gene), James Klocke, Vera Canepa, Bill Klocke, Mary White and Linda Pohlman (Dale).
He is survived by: his wife Violet Mae Klocke of Mary's Catholic Church; his daughters, Karen Godar (Dave), Sheryl Paquin (Todd) and Peggy Eberlin (Mark); his grandchildren, Kyle Godar (Kelsey), Amy Godar (Kenny) and Brad Eberlin (Emily); his stepgrandchildren, Krystal Paquin and T. J. Paquin; his great grandchildren, Max, Maverick, Keaton, Kaden, Kolton, Layla, Evie, Audrey, Matthew and Jayden; his sisters, Rita Kraushaar, Shirley Eilerman (Jim) and Judy Bick; and his in-laws, Leroy Wieneke, Francis Canepa, Lucy Halliday (Matt), Lee Klocke, Nancy Klocke, Tom Klocke (Jan) and Randy White.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home - Hardin (207 S County Rd, Hardin, IL 62047). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
