He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dietz and Ethel Dietz (Parker); his wife Gloria J. Dietz; and his siblings, Leota Johnson, Wilma Blackorby, Bud Dietz and Mick Dietz.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Dietz of Bryan, TX, Craig Crane of Guatemala, Brian Crane (Nikki) of Bloomer, WI, Lynetta Ribordy (Dan) of Deer Grove, Sherry Escalante of Bryan, TX, Jody Martindale (Robin) of Bryan, TX, Carla Crane of Manitowish Waters, WI and Renae Risch (Doug) of Chippewa Falls, WI. He is also survived by great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Rock Falls, Illinois.
