Audrey left this world on November 13, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Audrey departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Audrey may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Audrey leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Stacey and Charlotte Stacey (Ledbetter); her brother Clifford Martin; her stepdaughter Dena Martin; and her grandson Adam Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Virgil Smith (Melody "Joey" Smith) of Eldorado, Sharon Walker (Larry) of St. John, Indiana, Patricia Newman (John) of New Lenox, Illinois and Steve Cox (Matt Pryce) of Chicago, Illinois; her stepdaughter Pam Melasky of New York; and her sister Louise Paskon of Rosiclare, Illinois.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oasis Church of the Nazarene. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
