He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Worrel (Wayne) of Dongola, Illinois, Jessica Jones (Jeff) of Salem, Illinois, Theresa "Tracy" Shea (Steve) of Harrisburg, Illinois and Eric Gibson (Rhonda) of Marion, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jessica Williams (Les) of Tennessee, Tamara Darter of Iowa, Amanda Turner (Sam) of Dongola, Illinois, Sammantha Duty (Scott) of Anna, Illinois, Angelica Vickers of Marion, Illinois, Stephen Shea (Allison) of Tennessee, Sarah Laswell (Thomas) of Missouri, Chris Gibson (Nancy) of Marion, Illinois, Matthew Gibson of Marion, Illinois, Rachel Ogdin (Brandon) of Marion, Illinois, Emily Killen (Lawrence) of Marion, Illinois and Brandon Gibson of Marion, Illinois; and his siblings, Robert Gibson of Arizona and Sue Villereal of Arizona. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stricklin Funeral Home (503 E Sloan St, Harrisburg, IL 62946). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
