He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Bishop and Hattie Bishop (Peyton). He is survived by : his sons, John David Bishop of Mt Vernon and Brent Bishop of River Falls, Wisconsin.. He is also survived by Ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many close friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home (211 N Jackson St, Harrisburg, IL 62946). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
