With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laurene Teresa Young (Harrisburg, Illinois), who passed away on April 4, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Lawrence and Lela Bernice Johnson (Stuby); her husband Charles Herbert Young; and her brothers, Benny Lawrence Johnson, Lawrence Devon Johnson and Russell Leon Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Rule (Jason) of Riverside, Missouri and Alan Young (Ranjana) of Chicago, Illinois; her grandchildren, Charles V. Young, Lucy Rule and Luke Rule; and her sister Linda Gribble (Lannie) of Marion, Illinois. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization Teresa held dear, Bangla Hope Children's School.
