He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Johnson and Bernice Johnson (Stuby); his wife Shirley Gidcumb; and his brothers, Larry Johnson and Benny Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Johnson (Kathy) of Harrisburg, Stephen Johnson (Jill) of Harrisburg and Angela Malone (Mark) of Galatia; his grandchildren, Leann Miller (Ron), Kerry Taborn (Dean), Julie Gott (Jerod), Jenna Jones (Dustin), Jessi Johnson (Stephen Fricks), Kent Johnson, Chelsea Johnson (Matt Rines), Allie Hampton (Gentry) and Paige Malone; his great grandchildren, Kyle, Megan, Taylor, Jace, Kaden, Jonson, Jia, Landen, Tavis, Mae, Jocci, Jemma, Janson, Justice, Claudia and Millie; his great great grandchildren, Leah, Jameson and Jireh; and his sisters, Teresa Young of Riverside, Missouri and Linda Gribble (Lannie) of Marion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stricklin Funeral Home (503 E Sloan St, Harrisburg, IL 62946). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church or Macedonia Cemetery and will be received at Stricklin Funeral Home.
