He was predeceased by : his parents, Alton Andrew and Orpha J. Greer (Lynch); and his sisters, Elizabeth Ann Ridgway and Mary Jane Mossman. He is survived by : his wife Rita Helen Greer of Harrisburg; his siblings, James F. Greer of Murphysboro and Charlotte Mae Edmondson of Texas; and his sisters-in-law, Beverly (Jerry Black) and Pamela (John Waller).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vickery Funeral Chapel (416 W Elm St, Equality, IL 62934). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
