He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carson Jones and Ida Mae Jones (Wintz); his children, Lisa Jones and Larry David Jones; his stepdaughter Tina Hypes; his granddaughter Betsie Austif; his great grandchildren, Josie and Jake Austif; and his brothers, John Larkin Jones and David Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Jones; his children, Tammy Foster (Steve), LeighAnn Jones Altman (Dick) and Rebecca Parke; his stepchildren, John Henson (Rita) and Jennifer Hopper; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Boling (DeMarcus), Kellie Farmer (Matt), Hollie Shanle (Steve), Eleigh Owen, Michael Owen (Kenzie), Shelby Brickey (Justin), Gage Parke, David Crook, James Armstrong, Cassie Henson and Austin Tucker. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Park Meadows Baptist Church (800 Memorial Park Rd, Lincoln, IL 62656). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
