He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simons and Ruth Simons (Walters); his brother Larry Simons; and his nephew Scott Simons of Watertown, WI.. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Fredrickson; his children, Curt Simons (Susan) and Julie Secor (David); his grandchildren, Wade Secor, Lindsey Meinert (Jim), Leah Resenbeck (Christian), Danielle Rudsinski and Brett Simons; his great grandchildren, Braelynn Rudsinski, Brooks Rudsinski and Weston Resenbeck; his stepgreat-granddaughter Paisley Meinert; his nephew Gregg Simons (Kris) of Watertown, WI; and his niece Lynn Zastrow.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home (107 W Sumner St, Harvard, IL 60033). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the Rockford Rescue Mission, 715 West State Street, Rockford, IL 61102 or the Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom, 1102 McConnell Rd., Woodstock, IL 60098.
