He is survived by : his wife Agustina Ortiz; his children, Alma Ortiz (Andres), Juan Carlos Cruz, Karina Cruz (Ruben Maya), Junior Geronimo Cruz and Mariela Mercado (Eduardo); his grandchildren, Natalia Ortiz, Daniela Ortiz, Gianna Ortiz, Juan Carlos Cruz Jr., Sixto Cruz, Monique Cruz, Destiny Cruz, Josiah E. Pollard-Cruz, Brianna Cruz, Cristian Maya, Adrian Maya, Christopher Cruz Gonzalez and Angel Eduardo Mercado Cruz; and his siblings, Eloy Cruz Castañeda, Juan Cruz Castañeda, Antonio Cruz Castañeda, Simón Cruz Castañeda and Serafin Cruz Castañeda. He is also survived by family members and friends.
