He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle E. Mathews and Dorothy M. Mathews (Palmer); and his brother Lester P. Mathews. He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Roewer (Michael) of Harvard and Jamie Mathews of Capron, IL; and his brother George Mathews (Judy) of Roscoe, IL.. He is also survived by four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Capron United Methodist Church (250 W North St, Capron, IL 61012). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
