She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Hellenga and Gertrude Hellenga (Terpstra); her husband Franklyn R. Butts; and her siblings, Peter, Bernard, Alan and Susan.

She is survived by : her children, Gretta Butts, Joseph Butts, Mark Butts, Matthew Butts and Frank Butts, Jr.. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
