She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Smith and Ruth Smith (Hooper); her son Chad Layman; her sons-in-law, Mitchell "Mitch" Garman and Jeff Peters; her sister Catherine Smith; and her sister-in-law Karen Garey.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Layman; her children, Ruth Garman (Bill Loy), Derek Layman (Laura), Stephanie "Stacy" Peters and Diane Pelayo (Roy Luth); her grandchildren, Katie, Jacob, Zack, Matt, Hillary, Roni and Karla; and her great grandchildren, AJ, Maxx, Mikele, Daveon, Kayleigh, Omari, Alivia and Daniela.
