With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Harrison Schroeder of Havana, Illinois, who passed away on June 28, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Gary Harrison farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gary Harrison is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward August Jr. and Ruth Schroeder (Neuman). He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Sue Schroeder-Hall, Jennifer Lynn Hedrick and Susan Renee Davis (Eddie); and his granddaughters, Heather Schroeder-Johnson and Leighann Marie Schroeder-Mason (Christopher). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
