He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Shoemaker and Kathleen Shoemaker (Parsley). He is survived by: his children, Kendra Horvath of Sullivan and Kendal Shoemaker of Canton, Illinois; and his sisters, Lily Mibbs (Mike) of Kilbourne, Ruth Richardson (Mike) of Havana and Diana Lind (Ed) of Arkansas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
