Thomas Theodore Lounsberry Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Theodore Lounsberry of Havana, Illinois, born in Petersburg, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 6, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Thomas Theodore farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Thomas Theodore is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Lounsberry and Catherine Lounsberry; and his siblings, Beverly Carter, Vicki Hendrickson and Dale Lounsberry.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Lounsberry; his sister Charlene Ortman of Springfield; and his children, Tisha Bayless of Athens, Tim Lounsberry (Jen) of Bellingham and Theresa Sanert (Dakin) of Sherman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (711 S 6th St, Petersburg, IL 62675). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Camp Butler National Cemetery (5063 Camp Butler Rd, Springfield, IL 62707).
