Dorothy will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Dorothy by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Dorothy is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Dorothy’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She is survived by: her husband Douglas P. Worthan; and her children, Terri Elliott (Chris), Carol Worthan, Elizabeth Worthan, Lynn Seibert (David), Maribeth Chapa (Tony) and Douglas Worthan Jr. (Tricia). She is also survived by mother to her children.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home (18230 Dixie Hwy, Homewood, IL 60430). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Veronica Catholic Church (1120 Douglas Ave, Flossmoor, IL 60422).
