It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Louis Gasperec of Hazel Crest, Illinois, who passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Louis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Louis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Louis E. Gasperec (Julie), Stephan Gasperec (Lisa) and Michael Gasperec; his sister Susan Strittmatter (Harry); his grandsons, Jackson Gasperec and Louie Gasperec; his parents, Louis E. Gasperec and Stella Gasperec; his close friend Janis Leppin; and also Michael Leppin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home (18230 Dixie Hwy, Homewood, IL 60430). A prayer will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Sepuchre Cemetery (6001 W 111th St, Alsip, IL 60803).
