With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arline J. Wittenauer of Hecker, Illinois, who passed away on April 14, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Sandidge and Emma Sandidge (Freeburg) of Sandidge's Hill; her significant other Joseph Thomas Wittenauer of Joseph's Catholic Church; her great grandchild McKenna Anne Wittenauer; her sister Lucille Recker (Ralph); and her son-in-law David Lovelace.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Wittenauer (Joan) of Hecker, Vicki Wittenauer of Hecker, Jolene Wittenauer of Springfield, IL, Annette Lovelace of New Athens, IL, Ricky Wittenauer (Anne) of Red Bud, IL and Mary Hooten (Jeff) of Red Bud; her grandchildren, Carey Day (Chris), Eric Wittenauer (Sarah), Cathy Powell (Gary), Joy Amann, Adam Wittenauer (Kyra), Ryan Wittenauer, Justin Wittenauer, Matthew Hooten and Johanna Hooten; and her great grandchildren, Emma, Ellie, Jack Day, Carolyn Jo, Gabrielle Wittenauer, Autumn, Caroline Powell, Trinity Alfaro, Kayleigh Renner, Lorelei, Adalynn and Nolan Wittenauer.
As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to: St. Augustine Education Fund or Gibault Scholarship Fund.
