It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Jean Huffman of Henry, Illinois, born in Jefferson, Iowa, who passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, John Weston and Mabel Owens (Hanson); her former life partner Charles H. Forbes; her spouse Lynn K. Huffman; and her children, Dr. James E. Forbes of Jefferson, Kathleen G. Salmen (Richard W.) of Naperville and Dr. David A. Forbes (Deborah) of Henry. She was also cherished by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

“Robin Alberts (Granddaughter of Lynn Huffman) and husband Rick Alberts celebrate the many loving memories of Norma and Lynn welcoming them to their home in Lake Wildwood and later, Henry. Norma sent beautiful hand-made cards at birthdays and holidays - always with positive and good spirited letters - and, in person, always good hugs. She is very much missed and we send our condolences to the entire Forbes family. It will always be an honor to have had the Forbes as part of our lives.”
