With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Buritz (Henry, Illinois), who passed away on November 16, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rita may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rita touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Schmiot and Marsela Schmiot; her husband Walter Charlie Buritz; her sons, Dennis Charles Buritz (Jeannette) and David Roger Buritz (Suzanne); and her sister Marilyn Hallen.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Shannon and Colleen; her great grandchildren, Felix and Max; and her niece Kimberly Feltman. She is also survived by many other cousins, relatives, and good friends.
