He was predeceased by: his pet Cooper. He is survived by: his parents, Stephen Robert and Donna Dee Coale (Hughes) of Marion; his wife Meridith Coale of Herrin; his daughter Presley Coale of Herrin; his stepson Cohl Phelps (Laney) of Johnston City, IL; his granddaughter Evanora Rose Phelps; his brothers, Eric Coale (Ruthann) of Marion and Christopher Coale (Brandi) of Marion; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas, Jane Phelps of Spokane, WA and Amanda Phelps of Carbondale.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home (900 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.".
