He is survived by: his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Sara Fulks of Carthage, IL; his grandchildren, Travis Doser (Kaithlyn) of Burlington, WA, Grace Goettsche of Carthage and Glory Goettsche of Carthage; and his siblings, Sam McCowen (Nancy) of Carterville, IL, John McCowen (Linda) of Carterville, Anne McCowen (Lou) of Shiloh, IL and Phyllis McCowen of Carbondale, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
