It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward L. West of Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Edward L. West to show support.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy West and Alice West (Wardle); his daughter Amy Lynne West; and his sisters, Jacqueline "Jackie" Finney, Carolyn Sue West and Gladys Lucille Colp.

He is survived by : his daughter Pamela Sue; his son-in-law Tom Hatley of Herrin; his grandchildren, Tiffany Lynne (Blake Dobraski), Mary Lynne Hatley (Matt Lang) and Jordan Troy Hatley of Overland Park, KS; his great grandchildren, Bennett Dobraski, Myles Dobraski and Maddox Lang; his cousin Debbie Castellano; and his pet Reece. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home (2704 S Park Ave, Herrin, IL 62948). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 301 South 16th Street, Herrin, IL 62948 and/or to St. Francis CARE, 6228 Country Club Rd, Murphysboro, IL 62966; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
