It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frank Pengress of Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Pengress and Martha Lucille Pengress (Chamness); his sister Della McMahan-Shepard; his brother-in-law Robert E. "Sarge" McMahan; and his nephew Jonathan Wade Pengress.

He is survived by: his brothers, Richard (Tanya Pengress) and Robin (Kathy Pengress). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; many other extended family and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, Frank requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the American Cancer Society.
