With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Paul Kerley of Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on January 15, 2026 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Lavern and Mary Ann Deloris Kerley (Cappellano); and his pet Sophie. He is survived by: his wife Melody Renee Kerley (Staton) of Herrin; his daughters, Autumn Dilbeck (J. R.) of Hartselle, Alabama and Brooke Hastings (Garrett) of Herrin; his grandchildren, Reece Dilbeck, Riley Dilbeck, Carter Banks, Camden Banks and Harper Hastings; and his pet Goldie.
