He was predeceased by: his parents, Harden Deskines and Ella Lois Deskines (McMillan); his wife Alma Jean Chandler; his siblings, Lloyd Allen Deskines and Dolores; and his brother-in-law Junior Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Deskines of Millstadt, IL and Patti Jo Deskines of Freeman Spur, IL; his grandchildren, Adam Deskines of Millstadt and Christina Wallis of Junction City, KS; his great grandchildren, Gavin Parker, Ashlynn Shea and Eli Wallis; and his sisters, Patricia (Joe Maier) and Donella Ward of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
