Karen Sue Whitehead Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Karen Sue Whitehead of Herrin, Illinois, whose life came to an end on May 29, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Zielder and Iona Faye Zielder (Allen); and her sisters, Sharon Samples and Madeline Owens (Jim). She is survived by: her sons, Darrin Sheppard (Brandie) and Jonathan Whitehead; her grandchildren, Rance Sprowls, Landen Sprowls, Zathen Sprowls, Deegan Horton, Dillion Emery, Dalton Emery and Madison Emery; her great grandchild Autumn Walters; and her sister Donna Hammonds (Randy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home (322 N Division St, Carterville, IL 62918). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
