With sadness, we share the passing of Leah Pearce (Herrin, Illinois). Leah, born on June 12, 1980, passed away on October 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Richard A. Pearce; her grandparents, Shine, Jessie Pearce, Charles and Jean Wyatt; her uncles, Martin Steinmetz and Darrell Law; and her cousins, Matthew Price, Cienna Umstetter and Michelle Steinmetz.
She is survived by: her mother Rhonda Pearce (Wyatt) of Herrin; her sister Cassidy; her brother-in-law Mike Yates of Jonesboro, IL; her brother Tyler; her sister-in-law Becky Pearce of Olmsted, IL; her nieces and nephews, Brycen Yates and Charlee Pearce; her aunts and uncles, Jody Steinmetz, Cheryl (Andrew Willis), Patrick (Chris Jones), Cherril Price, Sue (Johnnie Shirley), Patty (Randy Elliott) and Janie Pearce; and her cousin Mark Steinmetz (family: Garrett Drew, Gabby Jones, Wyatt Jones, Tara Myers, Jessica Dunlap, Christopher Elliott, Brock Shirley, Patrick Pearce). She is also survived by family, Garrett Drew and family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home (2704 S Park Ave, Herrin, IL 62948). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the family; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
