She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Martin and Lillian Martin (Daunis); her brother Michael Martin; her in-laws, J. W. James, Dorothy James Brown and Rev. Paul Brown; and her brother-in-law Mike James.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis James of John's Catholic Church; her children, Andrea, Vanessa and Daniel (Ashley); her grandchildren, Chayton, Graham, Deacon, Chandler (Ali), Benjamin (Zoey), Olivia and Lindsey; her sister Beth Williams (David); and her brother-in-law Greg James (Laura). She is also survived by her husband, three children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Union Funeral Home (213 E Oak St, West Frankfort, IL 62896). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (316 W Monroe St, Herrin, IL 62948).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Manilow Music Project or the Barnes-Jewish Transplant Patient Care Fund.
