With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Millie Sims (Herrin, Illinois), born in Makanda, Illinois, who passed away on February 7, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her mother Hazel Janita "Fisher" Sims; and her brothers, Floyd Eugene Sims, Boyd Ray Sims, Roy Allen Sims and Marshall Eugene Sims.
She is survived by : her sisters, Ellen Jannette Treece, Lula Mae Donas, Geneva Trexler, Florence Maxine Sims, Mary Sims, Wanda Lou Kerley, Barbara Jean Roye, Catherine Ann Sims, Betty Jean Odum and Gennie; her son Gerald Marshall Sims of West Frankfort; her granddaughter Charlotte Brengle; her daughter Sharon Kaye McGill of Herrin; and her sister-in-law Alice Sims of Buncombe. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
