He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Clay and Betty Clay; his brothers, Bill Clay, Ronnie Clay and Bobby Clay; and his son Steven.
He is survived by: his wife Angie; his children, Amanda (Jody), Gena, Lee (Melissa) and Jimmy (Allie); his sisters, Jerry Lynn Tripp, Paula Clay and Lisa Clay; his grandchildren, Justin, Chase, Caden, Cyleigh, Jaycee, Chelbie, Scotty, Liam, Isaac, Wyatt, Waylon, Hayden and Brayleigh; and his great grandchildren, Emeri, Ellie and Saige.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Van Natta Funeral Home (427 S Park Ave, Herrin, IL 62948). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at the Herrin City Cemetery (1324 E Stotlar St, Herrin, IL 62948).
