He is survived by: his sons, Jon Bird (Kristy) of Herrin, Jeff Bird (Sanya) of Wichita Falls and Justin Bird (Amanda) of Energy; his stepchildren, Cassie Jeralds of Herrin and Josh Lindsey of Herrin; his siblings, Archie Bird of Cadis, Billy Bird (Janet) of Ziegler and Christy Wyatt (Ronald) of Spillertown; his grandchildren, Adriana Bird, Gavin Bird, Sebastian Housden, Brandon Stahl (Anna), Andrew Bird, Katelyn Bird, Maddie Jeralds and Brennan Jeralds; his pet Lala; his great grandchildren, Boady Bird, Boone Bird, Falyn Stahl and Killian Stahl; his friends, Scott "Digger" Gregge, David Wade, Nick "Nicki" Sanders, Roger Craig, Donnie Bird and Tim Minson; and his close friend Teena Kirchner. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
