She was predeceased by: her parents, John Raymond and Katharine Marie Sparks (Mabry); and her daughter Amy Chaney. She is survived by: her husband David Hock of Herrin; her daughter Robyn Henricks of Herrin; her grandchildren, Kayelee Pettit (Drew), Jessica Morris (Devon), Taylor Rea (Wade) and Ashlee Meadows (Jacob); her great grandchildren, Lahna, Isla, Gabe, Elliot and Ashlynn; and her siblings, Linda (Norris "Red" Reed), Doris (Mike Kiesling) and Mike "Sparky" Sparks (Chasity Winters). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“In loving memory of Sharon Hock, May you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you. What can i say but WOW, sparki (sharon) was one of those beautiful caring loving people that the world was just too small to encompass her spirit. Her light, praise GOD, was so bright and loving and when she talked with you, you could tell she was truly listening. We here on this tiny planet have lost one of our brightest guiding lights and will be dearly missed n remembered. Lisa n I both miss her.”
