He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie E. Cain and Dorothy Cain (Miller); his son Mark Allan Cain; his siblings, Barbara Newcom, Jane Ann Cain, Dorothy "Dody" Cooper, Archie W. Cain and David Cain; his parents-in-law, Arthur and Alberta Mueth; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth J. "Betty" Huddleston.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Driemeyer of Herrin, IL; his grandchildren, Emily Driemeyer, Shane Holderfield of Herrin, Meghan, Dusty Smith of Herrin, Kameron Driemeyer of Herrin, Clint Cain (Becky) of Perrysburg, OH, Chelsy Cain of Zeigler, IL and Melissa Cain of Hurst, IL; his great grandchildren, Liam, Ryleigh, Kennadie, Chandler, Grady, Parker, Elena and Marcus; and his siblings, Diane Robinson of Herrin, Becky Cain of Herrin, Jeanette Bloodworth (David) of Carterville, IL and Calvin Cain of Herrin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home (2704 S Park Ave, Herrin, IL 62948). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
