She was predeceased by: her parents, James Scanlon and Nelda Scanlon (Tremblay); her husband Earl Frerichs; her siblings, James Scanlon and Naomi Koors; her daughter-in-law Cindy Frerichs; and her grandson Austin Frerichs.
She is survived by: her children, Colleen Schultz (Robert) of Herscher, Brian Frerichs of Herscher, Scott Frerichs of Herscher and Craig Frerichs (Elizabeth) of Bourbonnais; her grandchildren, Kevin Schultz (Angie), Darrin Schultz (Erika), Dana Platz (Todd), Eric Frerichs (Kelly), Matthew Frerichs (Marianne), Kristen Wise (Tony), Andrew Frerichs (Jamie Janssen), Michael Frerichs, Noah Frerichs (Abbey) and Emily Englund (Travis); and her caregiver Rennie Kayaka. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (350 N Main St, Herscher, IL 60941). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or family wishes.
