With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Paul J. Lund of Herscher, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodor Lund and Maren Lund; his wife Arlene Metzger; his brother Francis; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lund, Edith Lund, Dorothy Edens and Darlene Lotspeich.
He is survived by: his children, Marina Papineau (Dan) of Westfield, IN and Steven Lund of Lafayette, IN; his grandchildren, Brendon Papineau (Trista) of Troy, IL and Brianne Ellison (Mark) of Westfield, IN; his great grandchildren, Violet, Lillian, Liam Ellison, Analee and Liam Borah; and his brothers, Henry Lund of Dwight, IL and Harold Lund (Bev) of Dwight, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
