Karen M. Evitt Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen M. Evitt (Hickory Hills, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 26, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Leona Eleanor Fikejs; her siblings, Linda Housinger and Thomas Fikejs; and her sister-in-law Linda Fikejs. She is survived by: her husband Clifford Evitt; her children, Jill Volpi, Keith Volpi (Jennifer), Derek Evitt (Grace Mittenthal), Clifford Evitt (Wendy), Lauren Evitt and Grant Evitt (Meaghan); her grandchildren, Thomas, Trevor, Maeve, Mia, Adelyn, Cicily, Embry and Aberdeen; and her great grandchild Ashton. She is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM at the Zarzycki Manor Chapels, Ltd. - Willow Springs (8999 Archer Ave, Willow Springs, IL 60480-1205). A prayer will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patricia Church (9050 S 86th Ave, Hickory Hills, IL 60457). A burial will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Resurrection Cemetery (7201 Archer Ave, Justice, IL 60458).
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Karen requested donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, reflecting her lifesaving mission of treatment for childhood cancer.
