He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Gerk and Catherine Gerk; his siblings, Elizabeth Brouillette (late Bruce), Annamarie Goode, Phillip Gerk (Ruth) and William Gerk (late Roberta); and his wife Laura.
He is survived by: his children, Marty Gerk and Gina Visser (Dennis); his grandchildren, Matthew and Madalynn; and his sister Maureen Bornstein.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hills Funeral Home, Ltd. (9236 S Roberts Rd, Hickory Hills, IL 60457).
