He was predeceased by : his father Bruno Fontana; and his aunts and uncles, Zia Maria and Marshall Picchietti (Maria). He is survived by : his mother Stella Fontana; his siblings, Vic Fontana (Jean), Luana Cioni (John), Joanne Piacenza (Al), Annette Nault (Glen) and Richard Fontana (late Kristine); and his aunts and uncles, Zia Agnese Piacenza (Enrico) and Zio Domenico Piacenza.
