He is survived by: his wife Lynn Chan; his children, Amos Chan, Andrew Chan, Lauryn Wildman (Luke) and Aaron Chan; his grandson Jack Wildman; and his sister Chui Har Lee (Pak Wah). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is setting up a seminary scholarship fund in Alan's name.
