We announce the death of Alan W. Stoecklin of Highland, Illinois, who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Stoecklin and Estelle Stoecklin; his sister Susan Limer (Jim); his brother-in-law Bob Klostermann; and his parents-in-law, Anton and Eleanor Lengermann.
He is survived by: his children, Craig Stoecklin (Jim Giesen) of Alexandria, VA and Tricia Stoecklin of Highland; his siblings, Leann Klostermann of Breese and John Stoecklin (Denise) of Marion, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Lengermann (Deb) of Highland and Ellen Anderson (Norb Friederich) of Lebanon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Moss Funeral Home. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (1411 Main St, Highland, IL 62249).
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to Helvetia Sharpshooters Society or USO (United Services Organization) and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 1501 9th St., Highland, IL 62249, which is serving the family.
