He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Korte and Minnie Korte (Goestenkors); his wife Ruth Ann Oakley; his granddaughter Taylor Krempel; and his siblings, Vincent Korte (Margie Rohling), Marie Huelsmann (Lorraine Jakel), Ann Plocher (Raymond Korte), George Korte (Imelda), Pender (Ralph Korte) and Bob Korte (Dan Korte).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Lutz (Bill) of Troy, IL, Michael Korte (Peggy) of Grantfork, IL, Jo Branscome (Dale) of Greenville, IL and Amy Krempel (Dave) of Algonquin, IL; his grandchildren, Justin Lutz, Casey Royer (Kurt), Allison Potts (Michael), Paige Fox, Michaela Loos (Kyle), Jack Korte (Jordyn), Joshua Frith, Kort Branscome (Liz), Kaleb Branscome and James Krempel (Lori); his great grandchildren, Evelynn, Logan, Calvin, Julien, Vivian, Henry, Tiffany, Tanner, Travis, Evan, Camden and Palmer; his siblings, Larry Korte (Ethel) of Highland and Barb Zobrist (late Dennis) of Highland; and his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Korte of Highland, Donna Korte of Highland and Edie Korte of Pierron.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to Brown Cemetery.
