Douglas L. Williamson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas L. Williamson of Highland, Illinois, who passed away on November 25, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Douglas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Williamson and Sally Williamson; and his stepfather Lucian Calvert. He is survived by: his wife Sheila A. Williamson; his daughter Leah Marie Young; his grandson Tristin G. Young (Courtney); his brothers, Rick B. Williamson and Mike S. Williamson; his stepsiblings, Sheila Purdy (Dean) and Rick Calvert (Jean); and his brother-in-law John Wilkins (Brenda). He is also survived by many extended family members including in-laws, nieces and nephews.
