It is with sadness that the passing of Harold G. Gillison of Highland, Illinois is shared. Harold, born on April 29, 1952, passed away on October 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold T. Gillison and Bobbie Gillison; and his grandson Nathaniel Spiroff. He is survived by: his children, Cherie Spiroff (Christopher) of Collinsville, IL, Amy Zielinski of Highland, IL and Josh Gillison (Tiffany) of Alhambra, IL; his grandchildren, Andrew Spiroff (Taylor), Matthew Spiroff, Christian Spiroff, Cory Fea (Kelsey), Abigail "Abby" Gillison, Adam Gillison, Lilyanna "Lily" Gillison and Leah Gillison; his great grandchildren, Everly Spiroff, Lucas Spiroff and Avery Hay; and his sisters, Terry Murphy (Mark) of Greenville, IL, Brenda McElroy (Bill) of Pierron, IL and Judy Watkins of Granite City, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Congregational Church (801 Washington St, Highland, IL 62249). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Harold wanted memorial donations to be made to his family to help with funeral expenses and his granddaughter, Abby's, future. Checks can be made out to his son, Josh Gillison.
