She is survived by: her husband Richard Essenpreis; her daughters, Sherrie Shanahan and Sarah Kay (Chad); her stepdaughters, Patti Wilhoit (Kevin) and Christi Rosario; her grandchildren, Milo Rabbitt, Erik Rabbitt (Madelyn), Camden Kay, Kory Wilhoit, Kelli Wilhoit, Riley Rosario and Christopher Rosario; her siblings, Nancy Muller, Janet Ligibel (Mike) and James Lovellette (Jaemi); and her sisters-in-law, Susan Lovellette and Marilyn Fickbohm. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Meridith Funeral Home (1223 Broadway, Highland, IL 62249). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Patricia Peters, John (Cathy) Lovellette, Mary (Leon) Miller, and Michael Lovellette; her mother-in-law, Marian (née Schmidt) Essenpreis; and her sister-in-law, Jean YoungMemorial donations may be made to the family.
